Michigan Outshines 48 States in Fight for Federal Clean Energy Funding

Michigan is punching well above its weight to secure more federal climate funding than nearly every other state in the nation following the passage of President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.


According to a new study from Atlas Policy, Michigan has collected more than $1.3 billion in federal funding to support at least 99 projects related to infrastructure and clean energy projects since the two laws were signed—more than any other US state or territory except California.
