With Walz on board, Harris campaign sees opportunity in Pa. rural counties

Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ campaign plans to reach out to many of Pennsylvania’s rural counties — and her vice presidential pick, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is a big part of that strategy.

In a memo released Wednesday, Battleground States Director Dan Kanninen singled out four historically Republican counties in Pennsylvania — Cumberland, Lancaster, Union and York — as areas where the campaign hopes to hold down the GOP advantage.
