The United Auto Workers on Friday said it has reached a tentative local agreement with General Motors Co.'s electric vehicle battery joint venture, Ultium Cells LLC, securing raises and benefits for workers at a plant in northeast Ohio.
UAW President Shawn Fain said in a letter that upon ratification, the deal will give most workers a $3.59 per hour raise immediately.
