Lawsuit filed after minimum wage ballot initiative rejected in Michigan

The organization Raise the Wage Michigan filed a lawsuit on Monday in state supreme court after the Board of State Canvassers refused to certify a ballot initiative that seeks to increase the state's minimum wage.

The initiative would gradually raise Michigan's minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2027 if approved by voters.
