DARBY, Pa. - Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden campaigned in Pennsylvania Wednesday, taking aim at the Trump administration over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Biden criticized President Donald Trump’s response to the pandemic and said Trump has offered no plan for reopening.

“Donald Trump wants to style himself as a wartime president against this invisible enemy, the coronavirus. But unlike any other wartime leader, he takes no responsibility. He exercises no leadership,” Biden said.

Biden unveiled his own recovery plan last week. The plan includes federally funded testing and personal protective equipment.

“Americans need a president who will put the American people first, not his or her own ego,” Biden said.

Earlier in the day, Biden stopped in nearby Yeadon, where he met with small business owners about the challenges they face in reopening.

Since returning to the campaign trail, Biden has focused on southeastern Pennsylvania, which is a short drive from his Delaware home.
